Human Resource Directorate (HRD)
The HR Directorate develops sector-wide policies on human resource planning, succession planning, training and development, and performance management. It also ensures that there is an effective and stable management framework consistent with the overall manpower needs of the sector.

1. Staff Capacity Development
Training and development of the staff of the Ministry, the Agencies and its private partners, made of contractors and consultants.
2. Personnel Management
Management of staff of the Ministry and those of its Agencies.

Profile of Mr. Mohammed Nafiw Abdul Wahab
Mr. Mohammed Nafiw Abdul Wahab is a member of Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC). He has been working in the Ghana Civil Service for Twenty-Seven years (27). As the Director, Human Resources and Management Directorate of the Ministry of Roads and Highways he leads in the Road Sector HR Planning, Road Sector HR Development and Training, Road Sector Performance Management.
Until his promotion to the grade of a Director, he was the Acting Director in charge of Human Resource Management of the Ministry.
He started his Civil Service career in 1998 with the Ministry of Labour Jobs and Employment. In 2008 he was posted to Wassa Amenfi East District Assembly in the Western Region as the Deputy District Coordinating Director. As part of his duty tour, in 2011 he was posted to Greater Accra Metropolitan Assembly. He was later moved to Ministry of Transport in 2012. In May 2015, he was again posted to Public Records and Archives Administration Department as the chief advisor to the Director on Human Resource and Administrative issues. Mr. Mohammed Nafiw Abdul Wahab is known for his advance knowledge in Public Administration, strong leadership skill and a career Civil Servant.
He holds first degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from the Islamic University of Ghana, Master of Public Administration from GIMPA, Certificate in Senior Management Development Programme GIMPA, a Chartered Member of Charted Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants. (CIAMC)
